The Roper Thermals Circular Chemicals Commitment, as we refer to as “CCC", describes our approach towards the responsible manufacture of chemicals and the reduction of waste. The CCC forms part of our core values and its main purpose is to drive a circular economy where the value of resources, materials, and products is maintained for as long as possible. This commitment seeks to do business in a way that is mindful of our environmental footprint and human impact, while decoupling company growth from the use of natural resources.
Our commitment to circularity
In an effort to develop a sustainable, low carbon economy, the world needs to shift from a linear, “take, make, waste” economy to a circular one, to “make, use, recycle” materials wherever we can. We believe circularity is THE opportunity of the present day and the only way to guarantee our future.
Our commitment to circularity includes:
Continually expanding our product portfolio to offer more plant based, low-carbon solutions.
Reducing, reusing, and recycling materials in production processes whenever it's feasible.
Managing the disposal of waste using safe and responsible methods.
Purchasing and refurbishing used equipment when possible, avoiding environmental burdens associated with new production.
Maintaining and repairing existing equipment to extend the life of assets to avoid buying new equipment.
Monitoring the volume of waste across all business operations while looking for opportunities to reduce and eliminate waste.
Seeking out like-minded supply chain partners adhering to similar ESG standards.
Educating employees, suppliers, customers and peers in the chemical industry to spread the reach of our efforts.
Collaborating with those at town, state, federal, and global levels on sustainability and circularity goals.
